CAMTA 2010 ANNUAL MEETING AND AGM THURSDAY 11th NOVEMBER 2010
|
|
|
The board are currently planning the sessions for the Annual Meeting in November.
The format will follow the recent pattern of three strands of three sessions in the morning, followed by a single strand of 'keynote' sessions in the afternoon.
We already have some of the sessions lined up, but still have some spaces in the program, and we would like members’ help to complete the program.

Morning Sessions
For the morning session, we are planning three streams, Beginner, Intermediate and General (for want of a better term), each running in three 40 minute sessions.
The General stream will contain two sessions presented by InterSystems on Caché or Caché based technology and one on GT.M.
The Beginner and Intermediate streams will comprise technical sessions on specific topics of Caché-based technology. (Similar to previous years).
We have a couple of offerings already, but I would like to encourage members to volunteer to present sessions for these streams.
The format is fairly flexible, but what we are primarily after is specific technical details for developers that will help them in their jobs.
You can concentrate on a specific, narrow aspect of Caché (e.g. the new %System.SQL package), or a selection of 'Hints and Tips'.
Perhaps you have recently made use of a particular feature of Caché that others would also find useful?
Bear in mind that for the Beginners sessions in particular, users can benefit from simply being made aware of some of the many hidden treasures in Caché.

Afternoon Sessions
For the afternoon sessions, we are looking for a good keynote speach, similar to last years presentation by Peter Cooper on SmartWater.
This could be based on a successful project that you have recently undertaken or completed.
We are looking for a balance between technical detail and management issues.
E.g. What were the issues you faced, and how did you address/solve them using Caché (or any other M-Technology).
If you have anything that you feel might be suitable, and would like to discuss it, please give me a call.
I would appreciate receiving any offers as soon as possible, as we need to try to firm up the program fairly soon.
If you are interested and would like to give it a go, please contact the CAMTA office info@camta.net
